As our Nuclear Team in Warrington continues to grow, we are looking for dynamic Structural Engineers with a strong track record in regulated and quality-assured systems. This presents an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a leading industry player, offering a compelling and expanding portfolio of projects.

You will become an integral part of a diverse and exciting team, contributing significantly to project management and delivery. Working closely with AECOM's talented engineering team, you will provide expert leadership and technical oversight in nuclear structural engineering. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and reliability of nuclear facilities and infrastructure. We value individuals who thrive in roles demanding sound design judgment and where engineering excellence is pivotal.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, regulatory standards, and project timelines.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Conduct detailed structural analysis and design, including seismic and stress analysis, to ensure robust engineering solutions.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and calculations to uphold accuracy and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to integrate structural engineering solutions within overall project requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and recommendations to clients and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, codes, and standards pertinent to nuclear structural engineering.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, methodologies, and processes within the organisation.
