Location:
Peterlee, County Durham (100% On Site) Duration: 12 Month Contract The Opportunity Belcan are currently supporting one of the leaders in the Engineering industry with their search for a Project Quality Engineer. They are looking for a Project Quality Engineer to support supplier quality activities across NPI, CPI and New Source Introduction (NSI) projects. Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams, you will help ensure components meet quality, cost and delivery targets, supporting projects from supplier selection through APQP and PPAP.
Key Responsibilities Manage project plans, milestones, risks and resources. Coordinate Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement teams. Work with suppliers and buyers on quotations, sourcing and supplier selection. Support APQP projects through to PPAP approval. Identify and resolve supplier quality and supply chain risks. Support product sourcing and supply strategies. Drive continuous improvement across the supplier base. Skills & Experience
Experience with in supplier quality, manufacturing or component engineering. Strong project management skills. Knowledge of APQP and PPAP. Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Confident working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders. Degree or equivalent relevant experience desirable. Ideal Candidate You will ideally have hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment, managing supplier quality and projects from initial concept through to production.
Experience with APQP, PPAP, supplier development and sourcing would be particularly beneficial. This vacancy is being advertised by Belcan
