Lead Project Cost Controller Major Nuclear Programme
I am working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major nuclear infrastructure programme in Cumbria and they are looking to appoint an experienced Lead Project Cost Controller to join the commercial team on a long term permanent basis.
This is a senior position supporting Project Directors and Commercial Managers on a complex regulated project, offering strong career progression and long term security.
Security Clearance is required or candidates must be eligible to obtain clearance.
The Role
You will take responsibility for project cost forecasting, cost control systems and budget management, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial governance across the programme.
Key responsibilities include
Managing project cost forecasting and cost management systems
Developing control processes for time cost and performance
Planning controlling and forecasting project budgets
Producing KPI reports for the client
Producing KPI reports for the client
Preparing monthly cost value reconciliations
Supporting payment applications and client reporting
Advising project teams on cost coding budgets and requisitions
Driving continuous improvement in cost control processes
Working closely with senior commercial leadership
What They Are Looking For
Strong background in construction cost control within regulated or major infrastructure environments
Excellent Excel and data manipulation capability
Confident communicator with senior project stakeholders
Experience supporting large scale projects
Commercially astute and detail focused
Proactive approach to performance and improvement
