We have an exciting opportunity in the Cumberland 0 - 19 Service working within our 0 - 19 Team for a Child Development Practitioner.
The successful applicants will be based in Whitehaven working within our teams to deliver care across the localities.

Main duties of the jobThe Child Development Practitioner is a member of the 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service, working within the policies and procedures relating to the 0 - 19 service.
The post holder will work closely with the SCPHN within a skill mixed team to support the delivery of the 0-19 Service Specification and Healthy Child Programme (HCP).
The aim of the service is to provide universal access to children, young people and families to the Healthy Child Programme and facilitate early identification of additional and or complex needs.
The post holder will contribute to the Public Health Agenda, to support the promotion of health and reduction in health inequalities. They will work in in partnership with key partners and agencies to meet local and national agendas

Person Specification Qualifications- NVQ Level 3 Qualification in relevant subject or equivalent.
- Experience of working with and supporting parents and families.
- Working with a range of statutory and voluntary organisations
- Experience of working with and supporting parents and families.
- Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality.
- Working with a range of statutory and voluntary organisations.
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting
- Experience of facilitating group work
