Location:
West Yorkshire Job Type: Full-time Join our client's dynamic team at a leading international manufacturing company. They are seeking an EHS Manager to introduce fresh ideas and improve processes, systems, and culture within a heavy manufacturing environment. Day-to-day of the role:
Ensure legal compliance for health and safety in the workplace by conducting regular audits and inspections to maintain the highest standards. Lead training sessions for new and existing staff, identifying and assisting in staff development opportunities. Use continuous improvement techniques to enhance and sustain health, safety, and environmental performance and management systems. Conduct timely incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Create, implement, and review Risk Assessments, safe working procedures, and method statements. Deliver the company's Health and Safety strategy and initiatives for the site. Stay updated and informed on all health and safety legislation, including any changes. Review and update all existing company Health & Safety documentation in line with statutory obligations, including CDM Regulations. Conduct regular health and safety inspections/audits at each project site and prepare detailed H&S audit reports.
Review and update all RAMS and COSHH assessments as necessary. Investigate all accidents and near-miss incidents and record the findings. Coordinate and lead all H&S Training. Assist the Pre-Construction Team with Health & Safety Questionnaires. Ensure that Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards are adhered to, including the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, & 45001. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. Experience managing a site within HSE. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred. Ability to influence at all levels of the organisation. Proven experience in driving changes and improvements. Positive, friendly, driven attitude, with an outgoing change agent.
