We're looking for a Recovery Coordinator to join our Recovery Steps Cumbria team, supporting adults receiving treatment for opiate use.

Based primarily at our Whitehaven site, with some time working across our Workington site, you'll become part of a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality treatment and recovery support to people with complex needs.

This is an opportunity to work with people throughout their recovery journey, building meaningful therapeutic relationships and helping individuals achieve lasting, positive change.

You’ll manage your own caseload while working closely with colleagues, prescribing clinicians and partner agencies to provide coordinated, person-centred care across both sites.

• Manage a caseload of adults receiving treatment for opiate use, developing, implementing and reviewing personalised recovery plans.
• Complete triage, screening and comprehensive assessments, tailoring interventions to individual needs and goals.
• Build trusting, therapeutic relationships that encourage engagement, reduce harm and promote sustained recovery.
• Work collaboratively with prescribing clinicians and partner agencies to coordinate care and provide integrated support.
• Provide support across both our Whitehaven and Workington sites, helping to ensure a consistent and accessible service for people using our services.
• Help people access healthcare, housing, employment, family support and community resources to strengthen their recovery.
• Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, risk and changes in presentation, escalating where required.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of recovery plans, safeguarding, risk management and clinical interventions using Systm One.
• Support service users to develop practical strategies that promote independence, wellbeing and long-term recovery.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive and inclusive team environment while delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
• Work flexibly across the service in response to the needs of the people we support and the wider team.

We're looking for someone who is compassionate, motivated and passionate about supporting people to achieve meaningful change.

You’ll ideally have experience managing a caseload within health, social care or substance use services, alongside knowledge or experience of supporting people affected by alcohol and/or drug use, particularly opiate dependence.

You’ll also bring strong communication and relationship-building skills, experience supporting people with complex needs and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll be comfortable working across different locations, with Whitehaven as your main base and occasional working at our Workington site, and able to adapt to the needs of a busy community-based service.

A relevant Health and Social Care qualification, or equivalent experience, would also be beneficial.
