Employment Support Worker Hourly Rate: £17.18 PAYE
Location:
Sheffield Job Type: Interim Join Opportunity Sheffield, Sheffield City Council’s Employment & Skills Service, at a pivotal time. With the recent success in securing Economic Inactivity Trailblazer and LGF funding, we are expanding our team. We are looking for a temporary Employment Support Worker to make a significant impact on the lives of residents in Sheffield by supporting them to secure and sustain meaningful employment.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver professional, impartial support and guidance to participants accessing Opportunity Sheffield services. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality provision. Identify and connect participants to opportunities that support their progression pathways. Act as a positive advocate for the service, promoting programmes and opportunities effectively. Develop a clear understanding of programme requirements to support delivery against targets.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of employment support projects. Effectively plan and organise your own workload to meet priorities. Identify and escalate risks and opportunities to programme managers. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Experience working in employment support, skills, or related services. Strong organisational and communication skills. A proactive, solution-focused approach. The ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities. A commitment to supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes. Benefits:
