Registered Nurse Float with nursing administration expertise provides on-site patient care at Whitehorse General Hospital in Whitehorse, Yukon. Apply nursing judgment across assigned specialty areas.
This regular full-time, 1.0 FTE position supports multidisciplinary nursing care at the L09 level. The incumbent administers medical investigations and therapeutic programs while applying general nursing, physical health, and psychosocial knowledge. The position also supports nursing best practices through organization, direction, supervision, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care for patients across assigned specialty areas
- Administer medical investigation and therapeutic programs
- Develop nursing care, treatment, and discharge plans
- Teach nursing practices and relevant clinical skills
- Plan and implement nursing best practices collaboratively
- Diploma or baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Minimum one year nursing experience in assigned specialty areas
- Current registration with Yukon Registered Nurses Association
- Current CPR certification and certified peri-operative program completion
- Communication, advocacy, computer literacy, and cross-cultural awareness skills
