Yukon Building and Oil Heating Inspector

Advance public safety as a Building and Oil Heating Inspector with Yukon’s Building Safety and Standards Branch. This role demands thorough inspections and adherence to safety standards.

You will be tasked with conducting inspections related to fuel oil installations and plumbing projects across Yukon, under the guidance of the Chief Building Inspector. Key duties will include reviewing construction plans, issuing permits, and executing site assessments to ensure all work complies with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections on fuel oil installation and plumbing work

• Review and issue construction permits as needed

• Ensure compliance with building and safety codes

• Engage with stakeholders during project evaluations

• Assess site conditions for safety and compliance

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Oil Heat System Technician with Red Seal

• Recent relevant experience in oil heating installation

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience working in varied environmental conditions
