Position: 2025-2026 Teacher-On-Call

Qualifications and Experience

:

High School Diploma Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting

Bachelor of Education (Elementary, Middle or Secondary) degree, or equivalent training would be an asset

A valid Teacher Regulation Branch Certificate, or in progress would be an asset Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability:

Candidates should have and may be assessed on their:

Ability to understand and effectively carry out general oral and written instructions with a minimum of supervision

Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy and tact in the explanation and exchange of information

Ability to determine, judge and select appropriate course of action within limits of established methods and procedures

Knowledge of spoken and written French is required for positions with CSFYKnowledge of and sensitivity to the culture and aspirations of Yukon First Nations students as well as a culturally diverse student population Additional Information Conditions of Employment:

Have and maintain RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check.
