• Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
• Experience working with youth
• Fluency in both English and French
• Post‑secondary training in educational assistant, exceptionality worker, special education assistant, or a related field would be considered an asset
• Experience working with youth with special needs would be considered an asset

• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers and parents
• Adaptability to cope with a wide variety of situations
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Criminal Record/RCMP Check with Vulnerable Sector – to be provided before the first day of employment, dated no more than 3 months prior to your start date
• Standard First Aid Certificate or a willingness to complete within 3 months
• Completion of the Educational Assistant Module by the end of the school year
