Yukon University is seeking a qualified instructor for the GEOL 208 Structural Geology course. You will deliver 3-hour weekly lectures and manage practical lab activities, making geology accessible and engaging. Conduct field assessments in the stunning Whitehorse region while enhancing students' understanding of structural geology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging 3-hour weekly lectures on structural geology
• Manage 3 hours of lab instruction each week for hands-on learning
• Conduct field exercises in the Whitehorse area
• Provide students with relevant learning materials for success
• Adhere to university teaching regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
• M.Sc. or higher in geoscience or a similar field
• Experience teaching structural geology at the college level
• Excellent communication skills for diverse student groups
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in academia
• Proven ability to inspire and engage students
