In-Person Literacy Tutor

LDAYukon seeks casual tutors for in-person sessions in Whitehorse. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in education or a keen interest in early literacy. You'll receive training and materials to support structured literacy approaches, allowing you to adapt to students' learning styles effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tutor students in structured literacy methods (Wilson, Barton, UFLI)

• Facilitate learning between 3:15 and 6 PM on weekdays

• Provide encouragement and repetition to reinforce concepts

• Customize sessions based on individual student needs

• Use online training materials to inform sessions

Requirements:

• Must live in Whitehorse or nearby areas

• Interest or background in education required
