POSITION OVERVIEW
North Style Unisex Salon is seeking a dedicated and skilled Barber to become part of our team in Whitehorse, Yukon. The successful candidate will provide a full range of barbering services while maintaining exceptional customer service, professional standards, and a clean, organized work environment.
JOB DUTIES

• Consult with clients to understand their haircut, shaving, and grooming preferences and recommend suitable styles.
• Cut, trim, taper, fade, layer, shape, and style hair using scissors, clippers, razors, trimmers, and other professional barbering equipment.
• Perform beard trimming, moustache grooming, and straight razor or hot towel shaving services.
• Shampoo clients' hair and provide scalp massage when appropriate.
• Apply styling products, hair tonics, lotions, and other grooming products to achieve the desired finish.
• Recommend hairstyles, grooming techniques, and home-care products based on clients' hair type and lifestyle.
• Promote and sell professional hair and beard care products.
• Sterilize and maintain barbering tools, equipment, chairs, and workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Schedule client appointments, maintain service records, and process payments when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized salon environment at all times.
• Keep current with barbering trends, products, and techniques through ongoing professional development.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure excellent customer service and efficient salon operations.

• Deliver professional and consistent barbering services to all clients.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Work efficiently in a busy salon environment while managing time effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming work area at all times.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $20.76 per hour
Hours: 35–40 hours per week
