IT Technician

Position: IT Technician for Kwanlin Dün First Nation
Provide essential technical support as an IT Technician for Kwanlin Dün First Nation. This role focuses on maintaining systems, collaborating effectively, and supporting community initiatives.

Reporting to the Manager, Information Management & Technology, the IT Technician plays a crucial role in supporting day-to-day IT operations. Ideal candidates will have a background in Computer Science or Information Technology along with strong experience in Windows environments. Your ability to build positive relationships while delivering timely technical assistance is key to ensuring staff can effectively serve citizens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily operation of computer systems and infrastructure

• Troubleshoot and maintain computer hardware and peripherals

• Manage user accounts, software deployments, and device configurations

• Provide respectful and responsive support to varying skill levels

• Document work accurately in a structured IT environment

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in Computer Science or IT field

• Experience with Windows environments and M365

• Relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Network+

• Strong problem-solving abilities with minimal oversight

• Valid class 5 Driver’s license and reliable transportation
