Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Position: Full-Time Intensive Care Unit Nurse
Join Whitehorse General Hospital as a full-time Intensive Care Unit Nurse. Work on-site to provide high-quality patient care and implement nursing best practices in a collaborative environment.

In this term full-time role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for administering care and therapeutic programs for critically ill patients. The position requires a diploma or baccalaureate degree in Nursing and at least one year of relevant experience. Your ability to develop nursing care plans and communicate effectively will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care as per nursing best practices

• Develop and implement treatment and discharge plans

• Provide supervision and direction to team members

• Facilitate communications among healthcare professionals

• Ensure advocacy for patients’ rights and needs

Requirements:

• Diploma/Baccalaureate degree in Nursing

• One year of nursing experience in Intensive Care

• Registration or eligibility with Yukon Registered Nurses Association

• Current C.P.R certification mandated

• Critical Care nursing certification is preferred
