Licensed Practical Nurse Position

Position: Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse Position
Join Whitehorse General Hospital as a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse in the Psychiatric Stabilization Program. Provide essential nursing care while working on-site in a supportive environment.
As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will perform nursing treatments under the guidance of the Clinical Care Manager. This role requires the development of nursing care plans and direct patient support in a psychiatric setting. Your ability to communicate and teach effectively will be crucial for the comfort and recovery of your patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to ensure patient comfort

• Perform specific treatments as directed

• Collaborate in creating nursing care plans

• Use effective communication with patients and staff

• Engage in a team-oriented care approach
Requirements:

• Must have a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing

• Current registration with Yukon Registered Nurses Association

• Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R) certification

• Familiarity with nursing trends and practices necessary

• Experience with acute care and First Nations' health preferred
