Whitehorse General Hospital OR Nurse Position

Join the Surgical Services team as a part-time Registered Nurse at Whitehorse General Hospital. This on-site role allows you to utilize your nursing expertise in a collaborative environment.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care through established protocols and therapeutic interventions. Your ability to develop effective care and discharge plans will be crucial. With a focus on cross-cultural awareness, you will ensure all patients receive compassionate and reliable care tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with best practices

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient management

• Create and execute treatment and discharge plans

• Educate patients and staff on nursing and clinical skills

• Demonstrate advocacy and assertiveness in patient care

Requirements:

• Diploma/Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is mandatory

• At least one year of relevant nursing experience

• Registration or eligibility with Yukon Registered Nurses Association

• Current C.P.R. (BLS) certification

• Certification in A.C.L.S. and P.A.L.S. is a plus
