Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse

Become a pivotal part of patient recovery as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Whitehorse General Hospital. Multiple permanent and term positions are offered, with hourly pay ranging from $49.73 to $66.42.

This position is essential within the Surgical Services team and requires candidates to hold a nursing diploma or degree along with a minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience. You will be responsible for administering and coordinating advanced nursing care, ensuring best practices are adhered to while advocating for patient needs and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients post-anesthesia

• Assess and implement individualized care plans

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members

• Educate patients and families on care processes

• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records

Requirements:

• Diploma/Baccalaureate degree in Nursing

• One year nursing experience in relevant specialty

• Current or eligible for Yukon RN licensure

• Valid CPR (BLS) certification

• Completion of a Peri-operative nursing program
