Registered Nurse - Emergency Care

Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Care Role
Bring your nursing expertise to Whitehorse General Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency department, working regular part-time on-site. This position involves direct patient care and the implementation of nursing best practices.

This regular part-time role at the L09 level focuses on providing high-level nursing care and therapeutic services. You will be responsible for patient assessments and implementing treatment plans while working closely with a skilled healthcare team. The position requires strong advocacy skills and the ability to adapt to the dynamic environment of emergency care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement nursing care plans tailored to individual patients

• Monitor and adjust treatment programs as necessary

• Educate patients and families on nursing practices

• Collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team

• Ensure accurate documentation and communication of patient care

Requirements:

• Nursing Diploma or Baccalaureate degree

• Minimum one year of emergency nursing experience

• Current registration or eligibility with Yukon Registered Nurses Association

• C.P.R. certification necessary

• A.C.L.S. and Critical Care nursing certification is an asset
