Occupational Health Nurse - Quality & Strategy

Make a difference at Whitehorse General Hospital as an Occupational Health Nurse focusing on Quality and Strategy. This role is pivotal in promoting employee health and workplace safety.

You will report to the Manager of Workplace Safety & Well-Being in this full-time capacity. The Occupational Health Nurse will apply comprehensive skills in nursing, problem-solving, and workplace health promotion. Your responsibility will include assessment and management of employee health concerns following current standards and legislative guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer clinical assessments and health consultations

• Manage communicable disease prevention and control

• Support return-to-work principles and accommodations

• Foster collaborations with healthcare professionals

• Analyze health program outcomes and improve strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Nursing or a comparable degree

• 3-5 years of experience in relevant nursing fields

• Must be eligible for YRNA registration

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Understanding of First Nations healthcare experiences
