Become a vital part of the Sexualized Assault Response Team in Whitehorse, Yukon, as a Registered Nurse focused on compassionate care for assault survivors. Utilize your forensic nursing skills to provide immediate support and coordinate services.
This position is for an Auxiliary On-Call Registered Nurse in Whitehorse, extending until July 31, 2028. Ideal candidates possess specialized training in trauma-informed care and experience with sexualized violence. Work closely with community partners to ensure timely and comprehensive care to those affected by trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver compassionate medical-forensic care to assault survivors
• Conduct essential evidence collection and documentation
• Provide access to additional support services and resources
• Collaborate with community agencies to ensure holistic care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per legal standards
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse eligible with Canadian authority
• Recent nursing experience in emergency or sexualized health
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive nursing assessments
• Strong documentation and clinical judgment skills
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally safe care
