As part of the Department of Justice's team, this position involves operational activities at the Whitehorse Correctional Centre. You will work various shifts and ensure security, providing direction, guidance, and a supportive environment for adult inmates. This role emphasizes positive change, respect, and equity throughout interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain security and safety of adult inmates

• Provide orientation and guidance to inmates

• Engage inmates in productive programming

• Work various shifts as required

• Communicate effectively and respectfully

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent

• Completion of Basic Correctional Officer Training

• Experience supervising inmates in corrections

• Certification in Use of Force techniques

• Valid Security and Medical clearances
