The role is to begin a career in claims by working as a trainee adjuster in a mentorship environment, investigating, adjusting, and examining multi‑line claims at a junior level. The position is hybrid, supporting field requests within the Whitehorse area. The trainee will receive structured training to develop the necessary skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Handling, investigating, and managing claims.
  • Reviewing coverages, limitations, warranties, and requirements to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Following guidelines and instructions.
  • Preparing documents and mandatory forms as required.
  • Managing a caseload of claim matters in compliance with KPIs and SLAs.
  • Managing reserves, payments, and financials.
  • Providing a high level of customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Builder or construction experience is a definite asset.
  • Ability to obtain an adjuster’s license.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities and strong organizational skills.
  • Proactive initiative and follow‑up skills.
  • Professionalism and work ethic.
  • Strong teamwork ability.
  • Aptitude for learning new computer applications.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Already residing in Whitehorse or the surrounding area.
