Your role focuses on delivering trauma-informed, culturally appropriate services to homeless adults around the clock.
Connective is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering inclusive communities. As a Shelter Worker, you will assist street-involved individuals with basic needs while maintaining a safe environment. You’ll implement harm reduction protocols, conduct intake assessments, and develop housing-focused case plans to ensure users' dignity and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer 24/7 emergency shelter services for up to 30 individuals
• Maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere for shelter users
• Conduct intake assessments within the first week
• Support clients with life skills resources and harm reduction
• Collaborate with community services and outreach workers
Requirements:
• Minimum one year experience with vulnerable populations
• Knowledge of housing-first principles and harm reduction
• Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations
• Strong communication skills in English
• Current Emergency First Aid Certificate
Support vulnerable adults with compassion and professionalism while making a lasting community impact.
