Help Deliver Mission-Critical Systems

We're looking for a Senior Regression Test Engineer to join our team in Whiteley. You'll play a key role in testing complex systems, ensuring new solutions integrate successfully and perform as expected.

Working closely with engineers, suppliers, and customer stakeholders, you'll help deliver high-quality solutions by planning, executing, and improving testing activities across a large-scale systems integration programme.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, investigating issues, and collaborating with a wide range of technical and non-technical teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Design and execute integration and regression testing activities.
• Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand requirements and develop effective test coverage.
• Analyse test results, investigate defects, and support issue resolution.
• Report on testing progress, risks, and issues.
• Validate interfaces, data flows, and system integrations.
• Review large datasets and supplier evidence to verify compliance with requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and quality standards.
• Support the development of automated regression testing capabilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the team.

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you have experience in some of the following areas:

• Software testing, integration testing, or systems engineering.
• Creating and executing test cases from requirements or design documentation.
• Functional, non-functional, integration, or regression testing.
• Working on projects involving multiple systems, suppliers, or third-party integrations.
• Investigating issues and supporting defect resolution.
• Analysing data and test evidence to validate system behaviour.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively within a team.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• ISTQB Foundation (or equivalent) certification is beneficial but not essential.

Desirable Skills

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Test automation and automated regression testing.
• API, interface, or message-based testing.
• Network, infrastructure, or environment testing.
• Agile, Dev Ops, or Continuous Integration practices.
• SQL, data analysis, or log analysis tools.
• Working within secure or highly regulated environments.
• Supporting large-scale systems integration or transformation programmes.
