Estates Assistant

1to1 Group are recruiting for an Estates Assistant for one of our clients in Winchester This position will involve assisting in the care, security and upkeep of buildings and the site, supporting the day-to-day operations and maintenance, helping to ensure the buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and running efficiently. Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced Child DBS.

• £13.00 per hour
• Temporary (with the possibility to go permanent)
• Monday to Friday, Full Time
• Some evening and weekend work where required.

• General internal and external minor maintenance and repairs to building and surrounds.
• Maintenance on plumbing and drains, leaks, glazing, pathways and roads, furniture, doors and windows.
• Using hand tools and machinery to provide general handyman duties.
• Locking and unlocking of buildings when required.
• Operation of the heating, lighting, plumbing and gate systems as required.
• Driving vehicles on site.
• To undertake emergency cleaning duties which may occur during the day; e.g. clearing up hazardous substances such as split chemicals, broken class, vomit, blood, etc.
• Acting as First Aider as required and prioritising safeguarding and participating in training on safeguarding matters.

• Sufficiently fit to work outside in all weathers.
• To lift up to 15 kg weight, able to pick up items from ground, waist and head levels.
• Emergency First Aid qualification or a willingness to obtain it.
• Previous experience with the 16- 18 age group.
• Trade or maintenance background with skills in any of carpentry, masonry, electrics, plumbing.
