Casual Recreation Assistant

We are looking for a skilled Recreation Assistant to join the Long Term Care & Assisted Living team. This role involves organizing recreational activities that promote health and leisure for residents. You will work directly with residents, volunteers, and medical staff to ensure enjoyable and safe activities for everyone involved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement recreation/leisure programs for residents

• Prepare food items with residents, focusing on nutrition

• Oversee volunteers and teach related techniques

• Maintain inventory of equipment and report needs

• Drive residents to outings and accompany them

Requirements:

• Grade 12 plus recognized recreational courses

• Two years of related experience or equivalent

• Valid Class 4 BC Driver's License

• Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR Level C

• Food Safe Certificate
