Rehabilitation Assistant - Nursing, OT, PT Relief Position

Become a pivotal part of the Fraser Health team as a Relief Rehabilitation Assistant focused on Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C. This role involves providing essential patient support and implementing rehabilitative treatment plans.

As a full-time replacement role until May 2027, you'll work closely with nurses and therapists to deliver compassionate care. This position requires engaging with patients in daily living activities and monitoring their rehabilitation progress. Your expertise will enhance the therapeutic journey for individuals recovering from injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute rehabilitation tasks directed by physiotherapists or occupational therapists

• Track and document patient cognitive and functional progress

• Facilitate functional skills training in mobility and daily activities

• Assist with the adaptation of therapy equipment

• Conduct therapeutic tests like the Berg Balance Test

Requirements:

• Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

• The physical capability to assist patients effectively

• Excellent organizational skills for task management

• Proficiency in operating specialized equipment
