As an LPN, you will provide person-centered care, collaborate with RN’s, implement wellness programs, maintain accurate records and promote health and safety practices.

About The Role

As an LPN at Baptist Housing’s Evergreen Community, you’ll embrace person-centered care, contributing to comprehensive care planning and service delivery evaluation. In this temporary role, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of care for residents during this period. You’ll work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) for complex cases and support the implementation of wellness programs under the guidance of RNs and managers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and administering medications
  • Providing wound care and other essential nursing interventions
  • Ensuring meticulous resident charting
  • Utilizing systems like Point-Click Care and EMAR to maintain accurate resident information
  • Modeling Baptist Housing’s ministry values and servant leadership
  • Prioritizing the needs of others while fostering positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and families
  • Your work location is in the seaside city of White Rock. Our Evergreen community is located at 1550 Oxford Street.

    Available Lines

  • Temporary, Full-Time (FTE 1.00 - approximately 37.5 hours/week) – Evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) for approximately 2 months, until incumbent returns
  • Temporary, Part-Time (FTE 0.936- approximately 35.2 hours/week) – Evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) until August 2025
  • Temporary, Part-Time (FTE 0.702- approximately 26.4 hours/week) – Evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) for approximately 2 months, until May 2025
  • Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Good standing and membership with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Food Safe Certificate

    The Master Collective Compensation detailed in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement encompasses competitive vacation allowances along with extended health and dental benefits, a municipal pension plan, an employee and family assistance program, and opportunities for professional development. Level 1 LPNs are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $32.84 - 41.35.
