The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42 - $59.52 per hour.
Job SummaryWe are currently hiring for a Relief Part Time Registered Nurse, Surgical Services - Operating Room to join our Surgical Services team at Peace Arch Hospital located in White Rock, B.C. This position is available until approximately October 2027 or until the return of the incumbent.

In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Registered Nurse (RN), O.R. provides direct nursing care to patients within the Operating Room (OR) according to established standards and administrative policies and procedures. The RN assesses patients' physical and psycho‑social needs, identifies problems, plans, implements, documents, evaluates and coordinates nursing care, and performs scrubbing and circulating duties.
ResponsibilitiesEducation and Experience
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing; current registered as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM.
One (1) year's recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area, and completion of post‑graduate coursework and/or certification applicable, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities- Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area.
- Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care through appropriate interventions.
- Ability to determine and deal with emergency situations.
- Ability to recognize acuity changes.
- Ability to use evidence‑based information to support nursing decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, the public, medical staff and the interprofessional team.
- Ability to promote person‑centered care and patient advocacy.
- Ability to integrate and evaluate data from multiple sources to problem‑solve effectively.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to collaborate with and promote cooperation among the interprofessional team.
- Ability to operate related equipment and relevant computer applications.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
