Position: Relief Registered Nurse for Elders
Join the Medicine team at Peace Arch Hospital as a Relief Part Time Registered Nurse for Older Adults. Provide compassionate care to acutely ill elderly patients while collaborating with the interprofessional care team.
This role focuses on delivering person-centered care to elderly patients in acute settings. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans in partnership with patients and families, and ensure effective nursing interventions. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential to adapting care plans based on patient condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess acutely ill elderly patients and diagnose their conditions

• Collaborate with families to develop and revise care plans

• Coordinate nursing care and prioritize tasks for support staff

• Document nursing practice and patient outcomes accurately

• Provide education to patients and families on health maintenance
Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Current registration as a Nurse with BCCNM

• One year of recent acute care experience

• Strong assessment and patient communication skills

• Ability to evaluate data and promote person-centered care
