As a Geriatric Nurse Clinician, you'll lead in evaluating and managing care for acutely ill older adults in the emergency setting. This role involves not only hands-on nursing but also mentoring, coaching, and developing educational materials for nursing staff. You'll actively engage in quality improvement and research projects to further enhance care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct gerontological assessments for emergency admissions
• Provide mentorship and training to nursing staff
• Develop individualized care and discharge plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams for patient care
Requirements:
• Current BC Registered Nurse license
• Three years of relevant nursing experience
• Education and/or leadership background preferred
• Valid BC driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Knowledge of gerontological nursing standards
