The Role
As a Registered Nurse at Baptist Housing, you will provide compassionate, high-quality, person-centered care to our residents.
Your role is crucial in ensuring their health, safety, and well-being in a warm and welcoming environment.
- This role is a temporary full time day line. Coverage needed until February 26, 2027
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care based on individualized resident needs.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer medications and treatments following best practices and safety protocols.
- Advocate for residents' well-being, fostering a person-centered approach to care.
- Supervise and mentor care staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use electronic health records effectively.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful workplace culture.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- A minimum of one year of experience in geriatric, palliative, or complex care is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Commitment to a person-centered approach to care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and electronic health records.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
