Acute Care Registered Nurse Adults

Fraser Health seeks a full time Registered Nurse skilled in acute care nursing for older adults at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C.

This Registered Nurse provides person centered care to acutely ill elderly patients within the Acute Care for Elders team. Working with an interprofessional care team, the nurse assesses, plans, delivers, and evaluates nursing care. The position requires current BCCNM registration and recent related acute care experience.

• Assess acutely ill elderly patients and determine nursing diagnoses
• Plan, perform, and evaluate appropriate nursing interventions
• Coordinate care plans with patients, families, and caregivers
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional care providers
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and referrals

• Graduation from an approved school of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
• One year recent related acute care experience
• Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication abilities
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and collaborate effectively
