Make a difference as an Overdose Prevention Worker with Sources at the Peace Arch Hospital. You will provide compassionate support while promoting harm reduction and cultural safety.
In this casual position, you will engage with individuals using substances, assist in overdose response, and distribute resources aimed at safer usage. This role requires effective relationship-building skills and the ability to work independently while prioritizing client-centered care in a diverse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor consumption stations and ensure safety during usage
• Administer Naloxone in overdose emergencies
• Distribute harm reduction resources as needed
• Collaborate with external service partners for coordinated care
• Provide program data and feedback for improvement
Requirements:
• 1 year experience in mental health or substance use fields
• Education in social services or related fields preferred
• Knowledge of public health approaches required
• Certification in First Aid and CPR necessary
• Criminal Records check must be completed
