** The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a tenure-track faculty member in the area of speech-language pathology beginning August 2026 with the rank to be determined s is a full-time position with responsibilities for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in communication sciences and disorders, research, and service to the university, community, and profession.

Research and teaching expertise should complement existing faculty expertise and should include pediatric speech and language.
** Job Details**:

The successful candidate will be able to teach speech and language courses as part of the communication sciences and disorders bachelors, post bac, and master’s programs. The candidate will also be expected to pursue an active research agenda that engages undergraduate and graduate students, results in publications and contributes to advancing the department, university, the profession, and society. The candidate will also be expected to participate in service activities and embrace the principles of diversity and inclusion as a member of the university community.
** Department Information**:

The Department of delivers undergraduate and graduate programs. The  and  programs are committed to providing students with foundation knowledge in communication sciences and disorders required for graduate study in speech-language pathology and audiology. The  program provides a comprehensive academic and clinical education for graduate students including on-campus and off-site clinical experiences that culminate in the requisite Master's degree for practice as a state licensed and ASHA certified speech-language pathologist.
** Responsibilities**:

Full-Time teaching responsibilities include speech and language undergraduate and graduate courses, and mentorship/supervision of independent study, internships, and/or field experiences. Research expectations include peer reviewed publication and other scholarly activities. In addition, faculty members serve as advisors/mentors to students and are encouraged to engage students in undergraduate research or other scholarly and creative activities. Service responsibilities include committee service at the departmental, college, and university levels as well as participation in community organizations and the discipline as relevant to the candidate’s expertise and interest.

Faculty at UW-W may be required to teach in a variety of formats, including in-person, online and/or in a hybrid format, or courses in the evenings. All students, faculty, and staff are expected to ensure their materials are digitally accessible and utilize standard technology platforms supported by UW-Whitewater. Examples include, but are not limited to, Navigate, Canvas, and Microsoft Office applications – including Outlook, which is essential for university email communications and scheduling.##
