Position: Maintenance Technician 1

Maintenance Technician 1 at Husco

This role supports our production and facility equipment through routine and emergency maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document repairs: conduct preventive maintenance, routine, and emergency repairs to support production and facility equipment, ensuring safety and effective communication with management and peers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including CNC machines (Okuma MA600HB
    /Makino a61nx-a81nx), assembly line equipment, automated assembly/test equipment, and general facility infrastructure.
  • Operate fabrication tools: utilize lathes, mills, and drill presses for part repair and modification.
  • Industrial waste management: ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous and universal waste in compliance with regulations.
  • Technical documentation: read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Suggest improvements: propose enhancements to equipment and manufacturing processes to improve uptime, reliability, and safety.
  • Assist engineering team: collaborate on special projects.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competency in mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Valid driver’s license and forklift certification.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Adaptability and teamwork.
  • Intermediate PC knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders and elevated platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–3 years (or more) of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Hands‑on experience with CNC machines, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and vision systems.
  • Familiarity with special‑purpose machinery and automated systems.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of codes and regulations (OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO, etc.).
