As a DSP in our programs you will plan and teach recreational activities, assist with activities of daily living, provide personal care, and support community integration for adults with developmental disabilities. Other duties include transporting clients locally, completing accurate reports, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
We provide paid classroom and on-the-job training. Upon completion you will be CBRF certified DSP.
Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents, write reports and correspondence, communicate effectively.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
- Problem‑solving ability with standardized situations.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record; ability to use personal vehicle if required.
- Ability to respond to and de‑escalate behavior issues; strong organizational, time-management, interpersonal skills; maintain confidentiality; make sound decisions; establish effective professional relationships; flexible.
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities.
- Physical demands: stand, walk, use hands, reach overhead, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work environment: moderate noise, occasional exposure to weather.
