Board as Pediatric Child Life Specialist/Teacher (PT Monday - Thursday 8AM-2PM). The primary purpose of this position is to provide overall development and educational programming for the center’s child participants. Collaborating with the rehabilitation specialist, the child life specialist will recommend developmentally appropriate activities and measurable goals in each developmental domain, which will be included in the child's interdisciplinary plan of care.

All participants will receive routine educational and age‑appropriate play activities.

• Assess each child in the program to determine present performance levels in gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, and social domains.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation specialist to recommend appropriate activities and measurable goals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings.
• Provide a program for parents to assist them in meeting children’s medical, developmental, and psychosocial needs at home.
• Develop a daily schedule of activities or lesson plans for all center activity rooms that are age and developmentally appropriate, meeting each child’s needs, abilities, interests, and parallel themes of week, month, or season.
• Prepare classroom environment, play areas, and learning centers.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of all children.
• Engage in professional development.

Must have a Child Life Specialist certificate OR a teaching certificate.
