WHO WE ARE:Whitmore Lake Community Recreation is a part of Whitmore Lake Public Schools. WLCR provides quality recreation programming for residents of Whitmore Lake and the surrounding areas, helping them learn new skill, make new friends, get active and have fun! In addition to the indoor, year-round Community Pool, WLCR organizes and executes a variety of adult and youth sport and fitness programs.
SALARYand FTE:
- $17-$19 per hour based on experience
- Part time
- Year round
- Monday evenings 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
- and/or Saturday mornings 9 am - 12 pm
Whitmore Lake Community Pool
Our shallow pool with underwater bench and ramp entry and 81-82 degree water, is a comfortable environment for all ages of swim lessons
IN THIS ROLE:You will provide instruction for early water exploration and beginner swimming.
WHAT WE NEED:Swim instructor with a passion for teaching swimming and playing in the water with children. Experience in competitive swimming is helpful. Lifeguard certification preferred. An instructor who is willing to learn what we do and adhere to the WLCR principles of learning, building community and having fun.
WHAT YOU NEED:Willingness to learn and grow with our program.
A+ IF YOU HAVE:- Lifeguard certification preferred.
- WSI, USA Swim Coach and/or Masters Swim Coach preferred.
