Covering Sittingbourne, Canterbury and Margate, this role offers variety and the chance to make a genuine impact. While you will work across the district, you'll likely spend much of your time in either Canterbury or Margate. As a key front-facing member of the team, you’ll be the first point of contact for our learners – playing a vital role in shaping their experience from enquiry through to achievement.
We are now looking for a motivated and proactive Exams and Learner Services Officer to join our friendly East Kent team.
Responsibilities- Welcoming and supporting learners in person, by phone, and via email
- Providing clear information and guidance on courses and services
- Enrolling learners and managing student data accurately
- Supporting exam processes, including entries and organising/running local examinations
- Helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- 18.5 hours per week
- A flexible working pattern, including some variable hours
- One evening per week (until 9.30pm) during term time to support evening classes (subject to need)
- Occasional Saturday attendance (subject to need)
- Rotas are planned in advance to help you organise your time
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Level
2) - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and process information accurately
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems
- A proactive approach and ability to work on your own initiative
- The Council has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for effective performance of the job. Appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
