Our client is a leading innovator within their space, developing cutting‑edge technology for critical applications. They are now looking to expand their small, expert team with an experienced FPGA Design Engineer who thrives in a hands‑on, high‑integrity environment.

As the FPGA Design Engineer, you will lead on complex firmware development for avionics and maritime systems. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of FPGA projects, from concept and architecture to verification and integration, owning your projects and making a genuine impact.

• Designing and implementing FPGA systems in VHDL
• Interpreting and tracing technical requirements
• Creating thorough documentation and test benches
• Collaborating with electronics and software teams
• Supporting both new and legacy product development

• 5+ years of FPGA development experience
• Strong VHDL skills and digital design knowledge
• Familiarity with Xilinx, Model Sim, or Questa tools
• Problem solver with great communication skills
• Knowledge of video/communication protocols (HDMI, UART, SPI)
