We are recruiting for a Management Accountant in Whitstable.
You will be responsible for producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and helping to develop financial systems and processes within a growing organisation.
About the role- Prepare monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary.
- Support the monthly close process ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Produce management reports and financial dashboards for senior management.
- Support the Director of Finance in developing financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning.
- Support the preparation of year-end accounts and audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Work closely with operational teams to provide financial analysis and cost control support.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation within finance processes.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Proven experience preparing management accounts.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a finance team.
- You will have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available) as well as a full UK driving licence.
- Salary of £50,000
- 37.5 hours per week - Mon to Fri 9am - 5pm (office based)
