We're recruiting for a Metal Finishing Operative to join an established manufacturing team in Whitstable. This role focuses on preparing and finishing components to high-quality standards, following strict production and safety procedures. While the main focus is wiring and preparation work, there's also an opportunity to learn additional finishing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Read and follow documentation for all finishing operations
Work in line with manufacturing, quality, and health & safety procedures
Follow production plans and complete accurate quality records
Select and apply correct jigging, wiring, and barrelling methods
Safely handle chemicals used within the finishing department
Use inspection tools such as x-ray spectrometers and carry out visual checks
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment

What We're Looking For

Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
Ability to follow processes and safety guidelines
Willingness to learn new techniques
Previous experience in metal finishing or similar hands-on work is beneficial but not essential
