Cnc Setter - Part Time

Overview

A leading manufacturer of interconnect applications for the military and aerospace industries is searching for a CNC Setter Operator to join their dynamic team based in Canterbury, Kent.

• Inspect work according to engineering drawings using various measuring equipment and report any quality defects.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes.
• Perform deburring, cleaning, final inspection and completion of all traceability documentation.
• Optimize efficiencies by reducing set‑up and cycle times, as well as monitoring tool life.
• Oversee the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of the machines and report any concerns or issues to the machine shop supervisor.

• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Experience operating CNC machine tools, particularly CNC lathes with a minimum of 4 axis.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and use measurement equipment for inspection.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety consciousness.

• Knowledge of working to AS9100 aerospace quality standards.
• Knowledge of operating twin spindle machines.

This is a part‑time position working a 16‑hour week on a weekly rotating shift (apply online only).
