Accounting Manager

Overview

Construction Commercial General Contractor – We are searching for a loyal and stable candidate to replace the existing Controller who is retiring after 25+ years. The headquarters work environment has a small team of competent, long tenured professionals. The successful candidate will fit well into this type of setting. The position reports to the owner so there is no opportunity for advancement, the role is absolutely stable and secure.

• Oversee all aspects of administration: accounting, banking, compliance, human resources, in-house payroll, etc.
• Act as the point of contact for the external CPA firm for the audit and taxes.
• Support the accounting, analysis and compliance for all construction projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience as Controller in a construction company; knowledge of union payroll and public works compliance is preferred
• Attention to details as the work is hands-on and there is no functional review of the work
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and construction ERP, e.g. Timberline, etc.
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills with willingness to do whatever is required (Big or Small).
