The OB Laborist is an employed physician focused exclusively on inpatient obstetrics. Key duties include:

• Evaluate pregnant patients in triage on Labor & Delivery or the emergency department and admit as needed.
• Manage and deliver obstetrical patients, assist with C‑sections and other surgeries, and round on hospitalized, antepartum, and postoperative patients.
• Provide inpatient and emergency department consultations, midwife oversight/consults, and participate in hospital safety and quality committees.
• Cover all emergency‑room call coverage for OB/GYN during shifts.

Shifts are 24‑hour or 12‑hour. Additional responsibilities may include educating staff, establishing care protocols, and conducting research projects.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Licensed physician in California
• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Evidence of continuing education and self‑development to support license requirements
• Current California driver’s license
• Proficiency with practice and hospital EMR systems

• Three years of post‑residency experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology

• Competitive salary ($172,800–$244,800 for LA and $271,055–$360,188 for Fullerton)
