Responsible for support of perinatal education and lactation services for Perinatal Services. These services will include feedback on prenatal education, inpatient lactation education, outpatient community prenatal education and patient consultations. In addition, this role requires direct patient contact in appropriate clinical areas.

- Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication in the English language
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills
- Basic organizational skills to include ability to follow directions as outlined in policies or given by supervisor.
- Basic computer skills

- Patient assessment
- Clinical education related to specialty
- Principles of patient/family teaching
Required:
- Current California RN license
- Evidence of continuing education
- Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) card from the American Heart Association
- Certified Lactation Educator (CLE if no International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, IBCLC)
- Childbirth Educator or Labor and delivery experience
Preferred:
- IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant)
- BSN/MSN preferred
