Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse, Acute Dialysis, Full time, 7am-7:30pm
Provides direct acute inpatient dialysis (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, apheresis) and charge nurse duties. The dialysis nursing responsibilities include following MD orders, hospital policy, CMS guidelines, monitoring patients during dialysis, assessing any emergent changes in condition, and communicating with patient, primary RN, and MD. Standards of professional performance required include ethics, education/competency, quality practice, effective communication, leadership skills, collaboration, and evidence‑based practice/research utilization.
Charge nurse duties include assessment of patient and staff needs, coordination of care delivery and patient flow, and serve as role model and resource. Supervise dialysis technicians and delegate appropriately. Identify safety concerns and institute measures to provide a safe environment for patient and staff.

- Current California RN license
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
- BSN or concurrent enrollment in BSN program
- CNN (Certified Nephrology Nurse) certification encouraged
- 2 years Acute Dialysis Experience
